Instrument family

Mallet percussion

Marimba, xylophone, vibraphone and glockenspiel: tuned bars spread over a wide frame, so one mic rarely covers them evenly. Mallet type changes the spectrum and the attack.

Members: Glockenspiel, Marimba, Vibraphone, Xylophone.
